A tax-deductible donation to Lone Star Non-Profit Development Collaborative helps turn ideas for community change into strong, sustainable non-profit organizations. Many individuals and grassroots leaders have the passion and vision to serve their communities but lack the resources, knowledge, or professional guidance needed to successfully establish and grow a non-profit.
Through our programs, Lone Star provides education, empowerment, consultation, and hands-on assistance with non-profit formation, organizational development, strategic planning, fundraising, and grant readiness. Your support helps make these services more accessible to emerging non-profit leaders who are working to address real needs in their communities. A donation can help an organization move from an idea to an established non-profit, strengthen its infrastructure, become better positioned for funding, and ultimately expand the programs and services it provides to the people who need them most.
Our funding goals
Our primary goal is to use donations to expand access to Lone Star Non-Profit Development Collaborative’s nonprofit development and capacity-building programs. This is especially important for emerging non-profit leaders and grassroots organizations that may not have the financial resources to obtain professional assistance.
Donations will help support services such as nonprofit formation and tax-exempt application IRS fee assistance, organizational development, strategic planning, board development, fundraising and grant readiness, educational workshops, and technical support. Our goal is to reduce the financial barriers that can prevent promising community-based organizations from establishing the strong foundation they need to succeed.
As Lone Star grows, we also plan to establish a dedicated Non-Profit Development Assistance Fund that will help subsidize or sponsor services for qualifying organizations and community leaders. This will allow us to assist more individuals moving from an idea to reality.

How your donation helps grow our Non-Profit Community:
A donation of $120 provides one hour of personalized non-profit infrastructure and funding consultation, helping an organization strengthen its operations, identify funding opportunities, and develop practical strategies for sustainable growth.
A donation of $375 can help cover the IRS filing fee for an eligible small non-profit seeking federal tax-exempt recognition, helping remove one of the financial barriers to becoming an established 501(c)(3) organization.
A donation of $1,000 can support comprehensive grant research, funding opportunity identification, and proposal development assistance for a non-profit pursuing grant opportunities of up to $50,000, helping strengthen its ability to compete for critical funding.
Donations may also be earmarked for a specific non-profit organization in need of assistance. Designated contributions will be used to help support that organization’s approved development, formation, funding, or capacity-building needs.
